Decant oil is a heavy oil recovered from the bottom of a Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCC) at the manufacturer’s refinery.
As the end of the processing chain, Decant oil (15 – 20,000 MT/mo) is high in density and high sulphur content, but low viscosity (less than 100 cSt). Decant oil is used as a blending material for either Utility & Bunker Fuels or Carbon Black Market Stock.
